Traditional style Hatha yoga done in a non-heated room. This class, like Hatha 1 Flow, incorporates moving the body with the breath. Standing poses, floor poses, breathing, relaxation and meditation are all part of the class. The sequencing varies a bit from class to class and is appropriate for beginners of all ages and those recovering from an injury. This class will provide an excellent foundation for those who are brand new to yoga and a chance for more experienced beginners to deepen their practice. All bodies welcome!
Iyengaar wall straps were developed to support the yoga practitioner while learning safe, optimum alignment. In this gentle class for all levels we will work on all of the basic hatha poses & develop excellent balance with the aid of the straps.
Open and calm the body and the mind during the long holds of restorative yoga, where the practitioner is supported by props, allowing the muscles to relax deeply. This is an all levels class that will start with about 45 minutes of gentle asanas (yoga poses) that will include stretching and strengthening the spine, arms and legs. The last 30 minutes or so will be devoted to restorative poses that promote relaxation of the nervous system. It is very restful and a great antidote to life’s stresses. This class is perfect for people just starting a yoga practice, people who want the good feelings that yoga facilitates without a real vigorous workout, as well as people who may have injuries or conditions that make a more vigorous yoga class impossible. The hope is that this gentle practice will foster a sense of connection and sovereignty of their body, assisting each student to optimally help and heal themselves, and can be sustained and enjoyed for a lifetime.

The first 45 minutes are standing poses (asanas) followed by 45 minutes of floor poses, completing with breathing (pranayama), relaxation (savasana), and meditation (dhyana). This class in non-heated, but does include more advanced asanas (poses) and transitions (Chaturanga Dandasana, Vinyasas) than the Hatha 1 flow class. The posture flow is a scientifically developed series designed to work every part of the body safely. Suitable for (fit) beginners to advanced students.

Meditation 101 will teach silent sitting, also known as Vipassana. The class is tailored for yoga students, with an emphasis on the three elements of posture: balance, alignment and resilience. Bring your questions about all aspects of meditation practice, physical, psychological, spiritual, emotional and existential. All levels welcome.

Dynamic system of asanas and pranayama practices, linking breath to movement. Intro to Ashtanga Vinyasa postures, including arm balances and inversions, with modifications and variations. Builds heat, flexibility, strength and awareness of body and mind. Level 2/3
A fun and lively, moderate-intensity Hatha yoga sequence which changes week to week, using the assistance of wall straps to extend and deepen the various poses’ intensity. With a focus on increasing strength and flexibility, our straps and harnesses will allow the practitioner to not just learn but further experience the stretch each pose presents. Level 2/3.

A deeper meditative practice designed for experienced Level 3 students with 3 months or more of consistent practice. This class is open to regular Sattva Yoga Center students only. If you are a beginning student or are new to Sattva Yoga Center, please join this class after 3 months of consistent practice.
Listen to a multiple of musical instruments which may include crystal/Tibetan bowls,chimes, kalimba, flute, drum, & harmonium. Relax your mind and bring ease into the body. Class will begin seated with focus on breathing techniques, transitioning to reclined posture to receive sound healing meditation. Restore and replenish and harmonize your inner peace. All are welcome. Beginner friendly.
This class uses wall straps that allow students to experience near-weightlessness, which helps them focus more on alignment and makes otherwise difficult poses accessible. Good preparation for Ashtanga Yoga. Each class varies with different poses. Suitable for intermediate to advanced students.
This high-intensity, full-body workout is a mixture of Russian Kettlebell (ballistic swings and more), yoga, TRX strap-assisted cardio, and tons of core exercises. Please tell the teacher about any ongoing and new injuries you may have prior to starting this class; and as with any new exercise routine, check with your health care provider before your first class to ensure it is suitable exercise for you. Modifications will be given when needed, however participants of Strength & Conditioning must be capable of deep squatting, bending over fully, kneeling, laying on stomach and pressing at least 5 lbs over head. If these can not be achieved, you are unlikely to derive benefit from this particular class. Suitable for beginners to advanced, go at your own pace.
Dynamic Vinyasa Flow with alignment cues, modifications and deep body awareness. You will explore creative variations of asanas. Harmonizing breath and movement linked together to bring more awareness, balance and wholeness to body and mind. Level 2/3
Take your edge, relax your muscles, and breathe in floor postures held at least 3 to 5 minutes. These postures gently stretch soft connective tissue, giving the body more flexibility and mobility at a deeper core level. When practiced over time, Yin Yoga helps properly realign the bones and increases mobility of the joints. It is a quiet, meditative practice that promotes a sense of peaceful inner joy. Appropriate for all levels.
This class is a blend of Yin Yoga - Yoga of Stillness (45 min) and Yoga Nidra - Yogic Sleep (30 min) Yin practice targets the connective tissues such as the ligaments, tendons, fascia, & bones. Postures are held for a period of time creating space and release of toxins. The purpose of Yoga Nidra is to awaken the infinite potential that lies dormant within the body. In Yoga Nidra there is a conscious release of physical holding, and mental agitations. During Yoga Nidra the body is asleep while the mind is awake & alert. A single hour of Yoga Nidra is as restful as four hours of sleep. This class is all levels & beginner friendly.
30 minutes of Yin Yoga in preparation for & followed by a one hour all level vinyasa flow. Appropriate for all levels.
A gentle, entry level yoga sequence that features chairs, presenting a gentle yet effective class for beginners, students with limited mobility, or who are in recovery. The provided chairs lend stability, and assist the practitioner’s balance in poses they may otherwise find difficult. Suitable for beginners & Level 1 students.
